The Chestnut Grove

At La Châtaigneraie in Flémalle, Edouard Paquay took part in the group exhibition “Mémoire et réincarnation. Retour de Chine”, from 25 May to 7 July 2019. Bringing together artists working in different media, it explored connections between memory, lived experience and artistic creation.

His work returned to the centre in January and February 2023 for “Les péripéties d'un centre d'art contemporain de province (1979–2023)”, an exhibition looking back at the venue's history and the artists who had shown there.
